My eyes are opening. I am waking up. How could I know before now? How could I see before now? Constant, chronic stress is all I’ve ever known. It’s a miracle that I have gotten this far without completely falling apart.
How I Travel Hacked a $11,818 15 Day Mother-Daughter Vacation to Paris (at the Hotel Ritz!) for only $4,350
I’ve been planning this trip for over a decade. Ten years ago I first took my daughter to London using airline miles. It was on that trip I realized how much fun we have traveling to far away places together, and we made the decision to go to Paris some day.
As a business and money coach, my clients often tell me how they find themselves investing in things that don’t turn out the way they wanted. Either because they don’t end up doing or completing a course they paid for, they invest in something that wasn’t a good fit for them or they agree to take part in projects that don’t end up meeting their expectations. This can lead to feelings of frustration and lack of confidence in our role as entrepreneurs.
I wanted to share with you a story about my friend, Celeste. She totally had me fooled. From the outside Celeste was living the life that most people aspire to. She has a growing business with tens of thousands of followers, is regularly being interviewed by podcasters and radio shows, and recently launched a new book. Leisa challenged us to look at our pasts. Our past often dictates our future. She says if we grew up in a household which was never financially secure, that may be why we have a lack and scarcity mentality. Someone who spends freely may have had a more stable home life.
Keep in mind, my money situation is not bad. I’m not greatly struggling in any particular area. However, when someone talks about money, I suddenly become aware of my strong emotions about money. Sometimes I think those emotions are too powerful. Maybe something is not quite right with me. Similar to The Force in Star Wars, money can be used for good… or evil. (That’s my only Star Wars reference, I promise.)
Want to Boost Happiness? (Hint: The Answer Is In Your Wallet) It’s easy to get stuck in a rut when it comes to money, particularly if you’re like many Americans today and feel like you’re on the earn-to-spend treadmill. One of my clients, Robert (a pseudonym), recently told me, “When I earn money, I…
