Part of my mission here at WealthClinic includes detailing the value of having greater mindfulness in our relationship with money.
Mindfulness is the innate ability to be present and to pause before reacting to the challenges of our busy lives. As opposed to mindlessness, a mindful person pays greater attention to and has more control over their actions of body, speech and mind which helps them to become a better leader, partner, friend and co-worker.
My story begins with the convergence of two diametrically opposed worlds: spirituality and finance.
At first glance, nearly everyone thinks these two worlds are complete opposites. Because at best, spirituality is grounded in love and compassion. And at its worst, finance is fueled by greed. But what I eventually discovered is these two worlds are direct reflections of each other.
To understand how, let’s rewind a bit…Back in 1999, I was enjoying a successful career in the financial world. That same year, a family tragedy occurred. To help me heal, I started studying spiritual philosophy and trying to meditate. That’s when I began straddling the two worlds.
As soon as I began looking introspectively, I felt pulled to learn and practice more. At first I attended retreats, signing up for longer ones each time. Eventually, I loved it so much that I started teaching others how to meditate and use mindfulness in their daily lives.
One of the things meditation did was allow me to start listening more to my intuitive voice. It was a small voice at first but in time it grew louder and I started to see how I’ve always been deeply intuitive.
During that time, I was also working for a large bank where I witnessed (and participated in) the euphoric economic rise of the mind-2000’s. Followed by the fiscal meltdown of 2007-2008 and the painful aftermath of the Great Recession.
This front row seat to mayhem combined with my increasing intuition caused me to ask myself many questions like:
- Why do we repeatedly engage with money in very unconscious ways?
- Why does money, at times, cause us do stupid and silly things?
- Is there a way to stop this behavior by applying mindfulness to money?
Since I couldn’t find anyone to answer these questions, I decided to figure them out on my own.
I’ve always loved research, so I dove deeply into researching the answers. But with each psychological study, expert interview, or book I read…my questions grew. After years of study, I ended up with more questions, but no concrete answers.
Eventually, in my position as a financial adviser, I started asking my clients about their experiences with money. That’s when the pieces of the puzzle really came together. I combined their feedback with principles from psychology, sociology, biology/neurology, and philosophy and started to see a new way of living that is substantially more satisfying than the ways our culture often proposes.
Realizing that the key to developing true wealth and lasting happiness comes as a result of self-improvement that can easily occur as part of the experiences one gets while building enterprises. My programs explore strategic business development, as well as, the transformative power of personal growth and are designed to inspire people to positively shift the way they think so they can get more of what they desire.
Unlike many of the spiritual teachings I studied over the years which were focused on diminishing desire, I’ve discovered that it can be a very empowering tool when applied mindfully.
It took all of this to create the comprehensive system I’ve developed at WealthClinic. People using the system see quick, dramatic and positive changes in their experiences with money and much more.
After watching many entrepreneurs apply this system to their business activities, here’s what really blew my mind…when we change our experiences with money and learn how to engage with it through a new lens, we throw a new door wide open. A door to life fulfillment and greater prosperity that often remains undiscovered and closed.
Unlike other wealth building programs that merely tell you to change your money mindset so everything will improve, WealthClinic programs teach you exactly HOW to:
#1. Improve your inner game, change your money mindset, and take your business ‘wealth’ building habits to the next level,
#2. Own your whole story so that you become the creator of the business you want to create,
#3. Create a money map for where you want to go, why you want to go there and how you are going to get there. To become prosperous, you must develop strong money management skills, personally and professionally.
#4. Implement your strategy using a broad range of tools, skills and mindfulness based activities that support your success in a way that fits perfectly for YOU and your business!

P.S. A little more about me in case you’re curious…
I am a California gal who recently moved to Sedona, AZ with my awesome family which includes my husband of 23 years (together for 30!!), Tim and our exceptional (of course!) children, Zoe and Aidan plus our faithful Queensland Healer, Max. I LOVE to meditate, hike, ride my BWM dual sport motorcycle, camp and spend time with friends and family talking about deeply meaningful topics (having never been very good at small talk…) I also love painting and photography.
A big part of the reason I became a business mentor is because I’ve created the kind of life most people only dream about. I’ve been a business owner for most of my life. My relationships are flourishing, my business is growing (and it is 100% based on being authentically “me”), I’ve got money in the bank, I take time off to enjoy life, and most importantly, I wake up every day excited about who I am, how I spend my time and what the future may bring.
Not being aligned with any religious or spiritual tradition, my wish is to empower people to free themselves (and their business) of suffering and self-limiting beliefs, so they feel empowered to create a peaceful and prosperous business and a meaningful life.
Finally, I am deeply inspired by people who are drawn to bringing their inner growth to the external world. Especially to those who value the importance of being vulnerable and keeping their hearts open even when it seems everything is at risk by doing so. If any of this speaks to you then I REALLY hope you reach out to me and sign up for our eUpdates as I think you’d like hanging out with our growing community!
